Ginger Beef (Gluten Free)

Did you know Ginger Beef originated in Calgary? It’s true! Two sisters came to Calgary from Hong Kong and created the dish at their restaurant, the Silver Inn. Ginger Beef as we know it today consists of deep-fried strips of beef coated in a sweet sauce with ginger, garlic, and hot peppers, and then tossed with julienned carrots and onions. This dish is a westernized version of fare found in Northern China which is much drier with no breading on the beef. Ours is Gluten Free.
